Vieira Law Firm is a Portuguese law firm founded in the city of Braga with growing relevance in national and international markets.

Our history began with Nuno da Silva Vieira, the founding partner and an enthusiastic defender of a true legal industry in Portugal. Such legal industry is articulated to provide a global response, with a focus on the Portuguese-speaking world and geo-strategic position of Portugal in the world.

At the age of 25, our founder, decided to open his first law firm and to work as a solo attorney in a small village named Amares. At the age of 31, he identified the opportunity to provide personalized legal services, based on skill and detail, which made our firm stand out.

The high ethical standards and professional accuracy of our founder are unquestionable and today, at 38 years old, he is proud to have a team with whom he shares the same dedication of his first day.

We take part in an extraordinary journey and we will continue to design the history of this law firm. We recognise the essence, the promise and the passion imparted by our founder and for that reason we develop our skills in a tripartite dimension: as people; professionals and as active members of society.

The demand for this profession urges us to be innovative and, for that reason, we are at the core of the technological debate on legal professions. It’s time to act, to understand the journey of each one of our clients, and this is our Big Picture.

Those who know us know that it is so.

The essence of Vieira Law Firm is the offer of complete legal services, based on the true needs of the clients and on the way they perceive our services. Our promise is based on close and meticulous monitoring, with adequate reporting on current affairs which builds up trust in the future. All employees share a passion centered on creating value for our customers.

With 2000 years of history, Braga is the third largest city in Portugal, after Lisbon and Porto, showing high standards of quality of life due to its location and existing infrastructures.

Braga is a technological breeding ground where many internationally successful start-ups have been born. Braga is also the birthplace of a renowned University (University of Minho) and of the International Iberian Nanotechnology Laboratory (INL).

The city was founded in the year 20 BC and dedicated to the Emperor Caesar Augustus, adopting the name of Bracara Augusta. Braga’s history is deeply connected to the Roman Catholic religion, being known as the Portuguese Rome or the city of the Archbishops.

Two thousand years later, the city is internationally positioned as a city of knowledge and business. Its geographical position links it with the Atlantic, its Roman foundation provides it with strategic importance and the Portuguese history a pendulous vocation between the West and the East.

Braga is served by 5 motorways: to the North (A3), to the South (A3 and A1 from Lisbon), to the East (A11 and A7) and to the West (A28). The city connections are well defined and with no traffic problems.

The Francisco Sá Carneiro Airport (Porto) is the largest hub in the north-western region of the Iberian Peninsula.

The Port of Leixões is the largest port infrastructure in Northern Portugal and one of the most important in the country.

The head offices and the largest Campus of Minho University are in Braga, with more than 19,000 students, more than 13,000 teachers and approximately 50 academic degrees covering the most relevant areas of knowledge.

Because problems exist, we build solutions. That is what drives us.

" Nuno da Silva Vieira

Vieira Alliance is our brand for international partnerships because we want to position ourselves in the provision of global services and because the Portuguese have been acknowledged for that singularity for hundreds of years.
